Offender Services - Caseworker

Summary of Duties:
Individual and Family Counseling, a program of Family Service & Children’s Aid Society, employs the position of Caseworker to provide services to individuals who have been identified through the criminal or civil justice systems or other referral sources as needing to address issues of domestic violence, anger, or the requirement for supervised visitation with their children.
The areas of concentration require a working knowledge of victimization issues, crisis intervention techniques, the criminal justice system, the Protection From Abuse law, and legal and community resources.
This position is located at Family Service & Children’s Aid Society’s main office in Oil City. The work schedule varies and will include evening hours based on individual needs. This position reports directly to the Program Director of Individual and Family Counseling with formal individual supervision being held on a regular basis and informal supervision available on an ongoing basis. This position also reports indirectly to the Clinical/Compliance Director of Family Service & Children’s Aid Society.
Required Skills, Qualifications and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, psychology, rehabilitation, social work, sociology, or applicable behavioral science field.
• Must have at least two years’ work experience in a human service setting; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
• Proficient computer knowledge of MS Office Word & Excel.
• Proficient written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Acts 33, 34,73 clearances,
• Valid PA driver’s license to use on the job when necessary and proof of own vehicle insurance (with required limits) if personal vehicle is used consistently for business purposes.
