6 WEEKS PAID VACATION – FOLLOWS OIL CITY SCHOOL SCHEDULE
Summary of Duties:
Family Service & Children’s Aid Society’s is seeking qualified applicants for a Full Time Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to provide building-wide school based behavioral health support. The model is based on the Re-Education (Re-ED) eco-systemic therapy approach developed by Dr. Nicholas Hobbs. The BHT will provide therapeutic interventions and casework services for students in grades K-8 who are referred to the building-wide behavioral health intervention model in the Oil City Area School District based on the Re-Education (Re-ED) philosophy.
The BHT will be experienced with treatment plan administration, the application of Behavior Modification based on the student’s individual Functional Behavioral Assessment used by the public education system, have knowledge of child development and be CPR certified. The BHT will receive training to become knowledgeable of Re-Education principles and practices, and LSCI certified. The normal workweek supports the school’s schedule, including all school holidays and approx. six weeks of paid vacation in the summer. Minimal evening hours may be required based on program needs.
This BHT position is located at Hasson Heights Elementary school. This position reports directly to the Program Director, and indirectly to the Clinical Compliance Director of Family Service & Children’s Aid Society.
Required Skills, Qualifications and Abilities:
Education/Training Requirements-Must meet one of the below requirements:- Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the provision of behavioral health services and a bachelor’s degree preferably in social work, psychology, education, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, or activities therapies. OR
- Have a high school diploma or the equivalent of a high school diploma and have completed a 40-hour training covering the RBT Task List as evidenced by a certification that includes the name of the responsible trainer, who is certified as a BCBA or BCaBA.
