Certified Recovery Specialist

Summary of Duties: This position provides outreach, support, mentoring, and guidance for MA-eligible adults struggling with addiction issues or co-occurring substance abuse and mental health issues. Duties will include working closely with individuals identified before, during and after their treatment experiences to support and assist them in their recovery. The work schedule varies and will include some evening and weekend hours based on program need. This position is located at the Agency’s Oil City office located at 29 Pearl Ave., Oil City, PA 16301. This position reports directly to the Drug & Alcohol Program Director of Family Service & Children’s Aid Society. This position also reports indirectly to the Executive Director of Family Service & Children’s Aid Society.

Required Skills, Qualifications and Abilities:
♦ High school diploma or GED. A college degree in the substance abuse area is a plus.
♦ Must possess an active Certified
♦ Recovery Peer Certification
♦ Must have a working knowledge of mental health and drug and alcohol systems.
♦ Must be free of illicit drug use and maintain and promote a clean, sober lifestyle.
♦ Computer, written/verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
♦ Acts 34-73-151 clearances; valid PA driver’s license; and reliable transportation.

$15.00 - $17.00 hour, Non-Exempt
