JOB SUMMARY
Are you interested in making this life better for your fellow man while maintaining some time for yourself? Then you should apply for our full-time Programs Service Aide position.  This position is responsible for providing prevention vision screenings when needed and taking responsibility for the eye health and educational programming for preschools, elementary schools, high schools, and professional community members. This includes program outreach, scheduling, lesson planning, and activity planning. This would be a wonderful position for someone with classroom and teaching experience! The position also works in the field services programs, which requires driving clients in agency vehicles to appointments and grocery shopping in VCAB vehicles, along with other field services such as reading mail, labeling, assistance filling out paperwork or paying bills. VCAB drives clients anywhere from Erie to Pittsburgh for medical appointments, so applicants should be comfortable driving on these occasions. This position also entails some office duties such as filing, answering phones, scheduling, etc. This position is an integral part of the VCAB team and must have a desire to help people and be part of a team where it is all for one and one for all. 
No experience is necessary. A background in human services or education is helpful, but not required. We will train the right person.  Hours for this position are 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
