Electronics Recycling
Venango County is sponsoring a collection for both household hazardous waste and electronics from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 27 in the rear parking lot of the Cranberry Mall.
The collection is open to all Venango County residents and businesses. All attendees must pre-register with Environmental Coordination and Services prior to the day of the event. Pre-registration can be done at ECSR.net or by calling 866-815-0016.
The costs associated with proper disposal of materials are as follows:- 87 cents per pound for household hazardous waste (paints, chemicals, batteries, fluorescent light bulbs, etc.).
- 45 cents per pound for TV's and monitors.
- 52 cents per pound for small freon containing devices.
- 25 cents per pound for all other electronics (laptops, printers, microwaves, cellphones, stereos, etc.).
