Cutter

The process of manufacturing our safety harnesses, belts, and other “soft goods” begins with a Cutter. The Cutter prepares the materials that will be used by other team members for sewing and assembly. Duties include measuring, placing marks, and cutting the material to the proper specifications. The material may be measured and cut by a cutting machine, or by hand using an industrial hot knife. The Cutter enters work orders into the computer to create tags that are attached to the materials that have been cut for an order; these tags communicate important information about the order to the team members who will sew and assemble the final products.
