Medicaid Support Services Coordinator

Responsibilities:
- Answer and manage incoming phone calls, receive and route communications from clients, County Assistance Offices (CAO), nursing facility staff, and other parties, directing inquiries to the appropriate benefits coordinator or attorney and scheduling appointments as needed.
- Interact with in-person clients and perform client services duties during appointments as needed.
- Triage new clients to the appropriate benefits coordinators and attorneys by level of need.
- Create, manage, and organize files and all documentation pertaining to new, current, and closed Medicaid cases. This includes, but is not limited to, all files and documents for the attorneys for the current scheduled week.
- Track current Medicaid cases via Excel Spreadsheets, Google worksheets and making sure updates are sent to the appropriate parties in a timely manner with a printed version being prepared weekly for each Monday Medicaid meeting for review.
- Assist walk-in clients; support family communications during appointments (including scheduling and information intake); and help collect and return documents both in person and via mail.
- Scan and upload documents to ActionStep in a timely manner, assist with gathering documents for Medicaid Applications or Stipulated Agreements.
- Search County Assessment / Recorder of Deed offices for Medicaid clients’ Real Estate information, advise the benefits coordinators/attorneys of any issues pertaining to, and draft deeds if necessary.
- Receive all Medicaid mail for the day and distribute to appropriate parties.
- Provide positive synergy in the office to complete all other daily work, assignments, and tasks to assist the Benefit Coordinators and attorneys.
Skills/Qualifications: Demonstrated experience in a business office or similar setting, with strong data reporting, analysis capabilities, excellent written communication, and data entry skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office—particularly Excel, word—and knowledgeable in Mac-based systems or willing to learn. Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
Location: This position is primarily located in the Franklin office, but travel to other office locations will be required as needed.

Starting Salary: $34,000/year ($17 per hour)
