Restaurant Focus Group
The Oil Region Alliance (ORA), designated Destination Marketing Organization for Venango County tourism, will host a free focus group style Restaurant Roundtable Monday, October 26 from 2-3:30 p.m. at Rhoades Center at the Oil Region Venango Campus (1801 W. 1st St., Oil City, PA 16301).The event is free and open to members of the restaurant industry, especially owners, managers, and servers.“This is an opportunity for food service workers to discuss their successes and struggles, and the specifics of their business in the Oil Region,” said ORA Communications and Tourism Manager Emily Altomare.Oil Region marketing efforts and how to connect guests to area attractions will also be discussed.“Restaurant workers are often the front line when it comes to out-of-town guests with questions,” Altomare said. “We want to make sure staff members know about the resources we have available to help them answer those questions and be knowledgeable about the amenities and events in our area.”Attendees can also collect materials including trail maps and amenity brochures, learn how to be included in the 2027-2028 Oil Region Guide, which is currently in production, and get connected with the PA Restaurant and Lodging Association.“The restaurant business is tough, but vital to our tourism economy,” Altomare said. “We want to make sure we’re creating opportunities to support our area restaurants.”Restaurant Focus GroupDate and Time
