The Oil Region Alliance (ORA), designated Destination Marketing Organization for Venango County tourism, will host a free focus group style Realtor Roundtable Tuesday, October 27 from 8:30-10:30 a.m. at Rhoades Center at the Oil Region Venango Campus (1801 W. 1st St., Oil City, PA 16301).
The event is free and open to realtors and those associated with real estate offices.
“This is an opportunity for local realtors to discuss area trends and to stay current with Oil Region tourism marketing efforts,” said ORA Communications and Tourism Manager Emily Altomare. “We like to hear what’s bringing people in from out of the area as well as share our key tourism draws. The same amenities that make our communities great for tourists also contribute to our high quality of life for residents.”
Topics for discussion include:
- Who is moving to the Oil Region and why?
- Where are they moving from?
- What attracts them to the region and what are we still lacking?
- What’s happening with the real estate market in terms of home buying and selling locally?
Oil Region marketing efforts, special event schedules, and how to connect new and potential residents to area attractions will also be discussed in addition to the Artist Relocation Program, an initiative by ARTS Oil City that has already brought more than 100 new residents into the region.
Attendees can also collect materials including trail maps and amenity brochures, and learn how to be included in the 2027-2028 Oil Region Guide, which is currently in production.
“This will be our fourth Realtor Roundtable,” Altomare said. “We always learn new things about our region and look forward to gaining new insights again this year.”
