Public Workshop
A public workshop regarding the Strategic Plan Update for the Oil Region National Heritage Area will be held Tuesday, October 27 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Free Methodist Church of Oil City Fellowship Hall at 206 Wilson Avenue.
The Oil Region National Heritage Area comprises all of Venango County and Titusville, Hydetown, and Oil Creek Township in Crawford County. It is managed by the Oil Region Alliance.
“The purpose of the workshop is to review the results of the public survey and to work in breakout groups to further discuss the organization and management of the Oil Region National Heritage Area, interpretation and preservation within the region, and tourism development,” said Jennifer Burden, Oil Region Alliance Heritage Program Manager.
The public survey will remain open for input through October 20. It can be accessed from a link on OilRegion.org under the heading “Be Part of the Process” or at www.surveymonkey.com/r/S6ZKBG8.
A Concept Plan synthesizing the public input and findings of the consultants producing the Strategic Plan will be presented during a virtual public meeting taking place via Zoom Thursday, October 29 at 5 p.m.
Results of the workshop will be incorporated into the final Strategic Plan report that will be used to guide the projects and programming of the ORNHA for the next several years.
To register or inquire about the workshop and/or the Concept Plan presentation, please contact Burden at 814-677-3152 or jburden@oilregion.org.
