Home Safety, Mobility, and Daily Living
Northern Pennsylvania Regional College and UPMC Kane have partnered to offer Home Care Basics: Practical Support for Caring for a Loved One, a five-part community education series designed for anyone helping care for an aging loved one, family member, friend, or neighbor.
Throughout the series, participants will explore topics such as understanding the caregiving role, creating a safer home environment, assisting with daily care, organizing medications and appointments, connecting with local resources, and recognizing the importance of caregiver self-care to help prevent burnout.
This non-medical educational program is designed to help caregivers feel more confident, prepared, and supported as they navigate the challenges of caring for someone at home.
