Community Forum to Focus on Hope, Healing, and Domestic Violence Awareness
Community members are invited to attend Voices of Hope: A Community Conversation on Domestic Violence, a free public forum designed to raise awareness, share resources, and foster meaningful dialogue about domestic violence and its impact on individuals, families, and our community. The event is being held during Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
The forum will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Oil City YWCA, 109 Central Avenue, Oil City. The event is free and open to the public. No registration is required.
Attendees will hear from a keynote speaker, participate in topic-specific breakout sessions, and have the opportunity to visit resource tables featuring information and services available through local organizations that support individuals and families impacted by domestic violence.
The event is co-sponsored by Freedom NW PA, the Oil City-Franklin Zonta Club, Venango County Salvation Army, and the Oil City YWCA. Refreshments will be provided courtesy of Cranberry Walmart.
Community members, employers, educators, service providers, faith leaders, and concerned citizens are encouraged to attend. Together, we can increase awareness, support survivors, and strengthen the resources available within our community.
