Community Conversations
The Franklin Public Library continues its series of Community Conversations about a variety of topics. A new topic will be covered from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursdays in the second-floor community room.
June6/8 Leslie Alexander - Berry Up Your KitchenLeslie Alexander is a clinical herbalist, currently based in Erie, PA. She works with clients and teaches about herbs, both in person and online. At this conversation, she will share quirky tips on culinary and medicinal berries.6/15 Major Smith- Prisons: How they DifferThe running of prisons and the prison environment differ widely by management, location, size, intake, ownership, and more. This presentation will cover the main issues and their consequences.6/22 Sandy Baker- Genealogy: Dig into your Roots!Genealogy has been a popular hobby for millions of people of all ages over the last 45 years. Most of us have an innate desire to know more about our own family “roots”. Join Sandy Baker, our Wednesday volunteer in the PA Room, as she shares some ideas to help you on your own family history journey.6/29 Barbara Rumore- Difficult Conversations about RacismAttendees will be invited to join in a discussion on racism and participants will be encouraged to examine their own attitudes and feelings and debate them.
