DESCRIPTION:This year the "VIRTUAL" format for the FRANKLIN YMCA's annual 5K race has been modified to promote safety and convenience for race participants by allowing participants to choose a date and location which is convenient for them.  You may run/walk our traditional Applefest 5K race course on Liberty Street in Franklin or choose an alternate\, equal-distance course in your neighborhood\, on a trail\, or on a treadmill as long as you complete the race between Saturday\, October 3rd and Saturday\, October 31st.  \n\n \n\nRegistration forms can be picked up at the Y or can be emailed to you.  Cost is $10 for the race and an additional $12 for a shirt.  OR you can just "keep with tradition" and order a shirt!  Call the Y at 814-432-2138 for further information or to provide your email address.  Challenge your family and friends in other states to participate\; it's VIRTUAL!  All participants will receive an email with how to complete and upload your times.  We have set up a Facebook Event page "FRANKLIN YMCA - KEEPING THE TRADITION" where we will feature participant photos and race results.\n\n \n\nAlthough we are not offering our KIDS FUN RUN this year\, we are offering a NEW 1-Mile FAMILY FUN RUN.  The cost is $5 per participant\; all ages and no divisions.
