DESCRIPTION:The Oil Region Alliance will be hosting an Open House at the William H. Scheide House located at 221 North Washington Street\, Titusville.\n\nOriginally constructed by Charles Maltby in 1863-1866\, this home is best known as the residence of several generations of the Scheide family who were affiliated with several oil companies. Most recently used as the Titusville Area School District administrative offices until 2016\, the property was passed to the Oil Region Alliance via Titusville Historical Society in 2018. The William H. Scheide House will be gradually restored to its appearance during its period of historical significance from 1922 to 1959.\n\n \n\nThe public is invited to enjoy free light refreshments and witness the starting point of this extensive project to preserve and utilize a treasure of the Oil Region!
