This event will be held on Saturday November 4th\, 2017 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Victory Heights United Brethren Church\, 5978 US Rt. 322\, Franklin\, PA 16323. \n\n\n\nThe joyful holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas are times for family reunions and children's excitement\, but if you have experienced the death of a loved one\, the holidays may intensify the pain you are feeling. It is often very difficult to rejoice and celebrate when you are grieving.\n\nHope for the Holidays will provide a therapeutic\, fun setting where children can talk openly and share their feelings with others who have had similar experiences. At the same time\, they will benefit from guidance and support from our trained bereavement volunteers. Each camper will be assigned to a small group of campers of similar ages\, along with adult volunteer counselors in each group who will be responsible for them. Activities will focus on ways to cope with the upcoming holidays with workshops on grief and holiday crafts.
