SUMMARY:Building Owner Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Franklin Area Chamber of Commerce\, Franklin Moving Forward\, and Emily Lewis of the Venango County Economic Development Authority will host an informational meeting for downtown Franklin building owners who are considering remodeling the second and/or third floors or who wish they could do such. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe meeting will include information on the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) and possible funding for improvements. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe meeting will be held from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday\, June 21\, in the chamber's conference room at 1255 Liberty Street. Please RSVP by calling Jodi at 814-432-5823 or emailing jodi@franklinareachamber.org. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) is a commonwealth grant program for the acquisition and construction of regional economic\, cultural\, civic\, recreational and historical improvement projects. For profit entities are eligible to receive RACP funds as a subgrantee to an eligible grantee acting as a pass through\, such as the City or County. RACP projects must be a minimum of $1 million and require a dollar for dollar match. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA possible RACP application could focus on installation of elevators and/or fire suppression across multiple buildings to reach the $1 million total project minimum. RACP is a reimbursement program and applicants must demonstrate they have matching funds (from a non-state source) in place and interim financing available at the time of award. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThere are several key compliance items to think about when considering RACP funding\, these include but are not limited to\, competitive bidding requirements\, PA Prevailing Wage\, and PA steel procurement\, however\, Emily Lewis can assist in navigating these compliance items.
