Timothy E. Hartle Funeral Home is pleased to announce that Rebekah E. Deal has assumed ownership of the funeral home following the retirement of Timothy E. Hartle. The funeral home is now named: Timothy E. Hartle Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
Rebekah has been an integral part of the funeral home team for the past two years, working closely alongside Tim while bringing more than 13 years of experience in funeral service to the firm. With the transition now complete, she will continue to own and operate Timothy E. Hartle Funeral Home & Cremation Services while carrying forward the traditions of compassionate care and professional service that families have come to trust.
Rebekah wants the community to know that the funeral home's commitment to serving families remains unchanged. All pre-funded burial accounts, guarantees, and existing arrangements will continue without interruption under her ownership. She considers it a privilege to provide the same dignity, professionalism, personal attention, and compassionate care that have long been the hallmarks of the funeral home. "Our focus remains on helping families create meaningful funerals, memorial services, cremation services, and pre-arrangement plans with the highest standards of ethics and service," said Deal. "We understand the trust families place in us during some of life's most difficult moments, and we are honored to continue serving our community with the same respect and sensitivity that has defined this funeral home for years."
Beyond her professional responsibilities, Rebekah is deeply committed to community service. Since 2024, she has served as President of the Oil City–Franklin Zonta Club, an international organization of executives and professionals dedicated to advancing the status of women worldwide through service and advocacy.
She is also a past president of the Oil City Rotary Club and is transitioning her membership to the Franklin Rotary Club. In addition, she serves on the Older Adult Services Advisory Council, the Friends of Oil Creek State Park Board, and is a corporation member of the Northwest Hospital Foundation. She is also a member of the Belle Lettres Club.
As the only woman-owned funeral home in Venango County, Timothy E. Hartle Funeral Home & Cremation Services reflects Rebekah's strong commitment to both professional excellence and community involvement.
Looking ahead, Rebekah plans to expand the funeral home's role as a community resource. Beginning in July, the funeral home will host monthly workshops focused on grief healing, personal growth, and living life to its fullest potential.
