RETAIL INCUBATOR NOW OPEN
After more than a year of planning and months of renovations, the Liberty Galleria is open!

Several tenants are already in place selling goods that vary from Alpaca wool clothing to marble maze toys made right here in Venango County! Other products include jewerly, soaps, hot sauces, Belgian chocolates, fudge, pacifier clips, wooden toys, windchimes, collectibles, art glass, and specialty pet supplies.

SEEKING TENANTS
Franklin Moving Forward, Inc. is still seeking tenants to fill out the remainder of the galleria space. Some of the benefits of locating in an incubator facility include: lower overhead and operating costs; integrated check-out and security systems; shared utilities and access to high-speed internet; help with business basics; cooperative marketing and advertising; networking and commercial opportunities; and a highly visible storefront.

HISTORY
The idea for a retail incubator was conceived as a way to expand upon the success of FICDA’s Howard Street incubator facility that nurtures service-based and industrial businesses, and the Chamber’s Applefest® which draws thousands of visitors to the area each year for unique shopping opportunities. Organizers hope the incubator will help continue the city’s efforts to become a tourist destination, with great food, shopping and natural and historical attractions that will draw visitors from outside the Oil Region into Venango County.

FICDA purchased the building in 2007 and has been working with the Chamber since that time to bring the retail incubator concept to reality. FICDA and the Chamber have joined together to form Franklin Moving Forward, Inc., a non-profit organization focused on sustainable economic development in downtown Franklin that will carry out the incubator project with the cooperation of the City of Franklin.
