(communityevent) Responsible and Responsive Bidding Workshop Start: 9:00 am Responsible and Responsive Bidding Workshop at Clarion SBDC Puzzled by government contract bidding? Participants will be supplied with many forms that make estimating and bidding easier. Workshop topics include: Definitions of terms used in proposals and bidding Key steps to take before you begin estimating How to review and break down the material in a proposal How to package a bid Learn the secrets of the estimating trade Tips to help you make good decisions when formulating bids (communityevent) Venango Museum Card Party Start: 12:00 pm Monthly card party from noon to 3 p.m. Cost is $8 per person, including lunch. Reservations can be made for tables of four but singles are welcome and will be paired with others. There will also be a Chinese auction and 50/50. (communityevent) Heritage Region Historic Preservation Awards Start: 7:00 pm The 2012 Oil Heritage Region Historic Preservation Awards will be presented at 7 p.m. at the Christ United Methodist Church in downtown Franklin. Awards are presented each year in recognition of preservation of the built environment. A program by local historian Carolee Michener, "Venango County's Involvement in the Civil War," will be presented. Free. Refreshments will be served.
